So what exactly does being the
Sun Peaks Snow Bum mean?
Thiago the Snow Bum is getting some special treatment!
The Sun Peaks Snow Bum receives:
- Return flights to Kamloops, British Columbia, from the closest major airport to their city of residence.
- Return shuttle transfers from the Kamloops Airport.
- Resort accommodation in a variety of resort properties, from January 4, 2010 – March 31, 2010. For a description of the accommodation, click here.
- An alpine and nordic season’s pass for Sun Peaks Resort.
- Outerwear, including snow pants and jacket from Jardines.
- Ski or board equipment to use during the contest from Jardines.
- A per diem to cover food and everyday expenses – total value approximately $5000 CAD.
- All expenses paid on other resort activities, such as dog sledding, snowmobiling etc.
- ‘Backstage’ passes to resort events, like the Winter Festival of Wine, Subaru Velocity Challenge, Terrain Park events, and more.
- A mobile phone, camera with video capability, and laptop computer, for the duration of their stay, to perform their social media duties, as listed below.
As the Snow Bum, Thiago is:
- Communicating daily on social media platforms, including, but not limited to, Facebook™, Twitter™, YouTube™ and the official Snow Bum blog, among others. Communication is a mix of video, images and written content.
- Participating in media stories about the contest or other Sun Peaks content.
To help Thiago with content for the blog, we've provided him with:
- A weekly calendar of activities including, but not limited to, skiing or snowboarding with resort representatives, participation in non-ski activities, invitations and access to events.
- Access to media and trade related familiarization tours through Tourism Sun Peaks and Sun Peaks Resort Corporation.
