By submitting an entry for “Contest”, you agree to be legally bound by the following Terms and Conditions. 

Contest Entry
To be eligible to enter the Contest, entrants must be at least 19 years of age. The Contest is open to persons of all nationalities. Only one entry per person is permitted.

The winner(s) and selected guests may be required to obtain Temporary Resident Visas to enter Canada, depending on their country of origin. Tourism Sun Peaks is not responsible to assist the winner(s) or selected guests with obtaining Visas. For Visa information, visit www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp. If winner(s) or selected guests are unable to obtain Visas or are not permitted to travel to Canada for any reason, they will be disqualified from the contest.

Employees or directors of Tourism Sun Peaks, Sun Peaks Resort Corporation, agencies associated with the promotion and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

Ownership of Property
Each submission must be an original creation and the sole property of the entrant submitting it.

Upon submission, an entrant agrees that all submitted Contest entry materials, together with all intellectual property associated therewith, shall transfer to and become the sole property of Tourism Sun Peaks.

All entrants hereby irrevocably grant to Tourism Sun Peaks (and all of its licensees, successors and assigns) the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable, transferable right, license and privilege to use their name, likeness, appearance, voice, biographical information and to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the Contest entry materials for promotional and publicity purposes.

Timelines
The contest officially opens at 12:01 Pacific Standard Time (PST) on November 17, 2010. Contest closes for submission of entries at 23:59 PST on February 20, 2011. On February 21, 2011 the “Most Votes” prize will be announced. On February 22, 2011, twenty (20) finalists for the “Best Photo” prize will be announced. On March 1, 2011, one winner of the “Best Photo” prize will be announced and contacted. All announcements will be made via the www.snowbumcanada.com website. The prize redemption period is March 2 to April 10, 2011.

Approval of Entries
Tourism Sun Peaks reserves the sole right and discretion to approve all entries before they are posted on www.snowbumcanada.com. Entries with inappropriate language, visuals and/or defamatory comments will not be approved. Any entrants that tamper with or attempt to tamper with the entry process will be disqualified.

Prize Details and Redemption
There are two prizes awarded in the contest, as outlined.

Prize 1 – "Most Votes"
A “Most Votes” prize will be awarded to one winner based on the most votes accumulated on a single photo submission during the Contest timelines, as stated above. Details of the “Most Votes” prize are as follows:

• An outerwear and equipment package, including a complete ski or snowboard equipment set-up and a snow jacket and pants
• A day of lift tickets for the winner and six friends, seven tickets total
• Redemption of the lift ticket component of this prize must take place on or before April 10, 2011.

Prize 2 – "Best Photo"
A “Best Photo” prize will be awarded to one winner, and includes a trip to Sun Peaks for the winner and three friends of their choice. The prize will be awarded based on a combination of number of votes, photo comments/feedback and the discretion of the Tourism Sun Peaks judges. Details of the “Best Photo” prize are as follows:

• A day filming with videographer, Kevin Hagell, of Kaizen Visuals
• Up to $1000 per person (4 maximum) toward airfare
  • Cost of airfare will be paid up front by the winner and reimbursed or will be booked and paid for directly by Tourism Sun Peaks
  • If $1000 is not required per person, the remaining amount(s) are not included in the prize
• If airfare isn’t required, up to $2000 total towards actual ground travel costs will be provided, including: bus fare, rental car fees and/or fuel
• Return shuttle transfers from the Kamloops Airport to Sun Peaks, if required
• 6 nights’ accommodation for four people at a Sun Peaks Resort property
• Ski or snowboard equipment rental for each person, if required
• A 5-day lift ticket pass for each person
• A welcome dinner for the group upon arrival
• The winner and guests for Prize 2 must be available to arrive at Sun Peaks between March 2, 2011 and April 10, 2011
• Tourism Sun Peaks will coordinate with the winner the travel dates to insure the dates match with the dates of availability for the videographer and day of filming
• Any costs related to altering the “Best Photo” prize will be at the expense of the prize winner, including, but not limited to, changing flight dates.

Both of the “Most Votes” and “Best Photo” prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non- extendable and non-redeemable for cash.

Other
By submitting an entry for the Contest, all entrants:

• Agree to receive electronic communications from Tourism Sun Peaks and Sun Peaks Resort Corporation; and
• Irrevocably waive, release, discharge and hold Tourism Sun Peaks harmless from and against any and all losses, liabilities ,claims, costs, damages, demands and expenses (including but not limited to legal fees) arising from or in connection with acceptance of a prize or participation in the Contest. The winner(s) will be required to sign a formal Waiver and Release Agreement in this regard.
